"Again!?" roared Emily as the small black cat in front of her trembled in fear of what would happen. "That cursed son of a..."
"May I speak?" asked the cat, keeping it's body flat on the ground, not daring to even raise his ears.
"Go ahead." sighed Emily as she dropped to a chair.
"Though it might be true that count Draculo has stolen some of your servants, none of them were of any true value." the cat almost whispered the words. "May I suggest recruiting more?"
"Recruiting more!?" roared the vampire, her short silver hair moving from one side to the other as she shook her head, her crimson red eyes threatening the feline to become dog food any second. "You know it's a pain to recruit new servants." she let out a sigh as she stood up from the chair, the small girl using the black goth dress began to walk from one side to the other. "How many do I have left?"
"Ninety nine including myself, mistress." the cat pointed out. "Remember that one of the conditions to inherit the throne is to at least have a hundred..."
"I'm aware of that." snapped Emily, stopping for only a second. "The problem is, whenever I recruit new servants, Draculo always manages to steal just enough for me not to fulfill that condition." she let go of a sigh. "Of course, he can't steal any more because the remaining ninety nine are too loyal and strong to be manipulated by that bastard."
"Then wouldn't it be fine to look for someone with those requirements before recruiting?" asked the cat. "The only reason as to why Darculo is successful in his attempts is because he targets weak servants that do not wish to serve you."
"You're right." Emily sighed once more as she looked out the window, the white moon was rising over the horizon. "Then my guess would be to recruit someone who'd be loyal even before being turned into one of us." she turned towards the cat. "What would you suggest?"
"Well, normally I'd say you look for a Twilight fan-girl, but they'd go to Draculo right away, specially considering he's a male vampire." the cat sighed. "And there would also be the glitter problem, they seem to believe vampires shine when under sunlight."
"Fan-girls out of the list." Emily hurried to say. "What else do you have?"
"That would leave us with goths." the cat pointed out. "Though surely they would rather serve count Draculo than a young girl."
"A what!?" Emily's anger came immediately. "I am at least three times older than count Draculo, and I'll become three hundred two months!"
"Though you might be old, your appearance shows otherwise." the cat hurried to say, and Emily stopped as she took several deep breaths.
"You have a point." she muttered. "I could use a spell to mature my form, but it would be too much of a pain right now." she shook her head again. "Is there anyone who'd rather serve me than Draculo?"
"Well, the Otakus would be the only thing left." the cat almost whispered the words. "For what I've been informed, there's a group of these people that prefer underdeveloped females; I believe the term they used was Loli."
"I hate it when I've got so little from where to pick." Emily let out a long sigh. "But it'll have to do, I need to have a hundred servants by my birthday." she stared down at the cat. "Is there any of those nearby?"
"Actually, there might be one of them in this very city." the cat said. "In one of my midnight patrols, I found a young man that seemed fairly interested in the same sort of things an Otaku would." he let out a sigh. "However, I know not if this young man is a Loli lover or not."
"We'll try it out." Emily stared out the window. "Guide me to where he lives."
Hall let out a long sigh as he stretched against his chair, the computer screen being the only light in the room aside from that cast by the moon through the window.
"I better get this finished." he muttered to himself as he went back to madly typing on the keyboard, words forming on the screen as he wrote his critique. "And... send." he tapped Enter, and the message was sent. "That story sure sucked." he muttered as he remembered just how cruel his choice of words had been, making a smile come up to his face.
He heard a sound, and turned around just in time to see someone standing next to his window; it was a short figure, no more than five feet tall, with short silver hair that barely reached the shoulders and glowing red eyes.
"Who're you?" he asked, not really feeling startled, specially since the figure was at least a third of his weight.
"Your worst nightmare." replied a sweet childish voice.
Moving faster than Hall could react, the owner of the red eyes and silver hair moved towards him, and before the victim could even react, a set of small fangs sunk on the flesh of his neck, not even a drop passing by as the vampire poured her poison through the opening.
For a long minute, neither moved; Hall's body was completely paralyzed, and the vampire was finishing her work; then she separated from the human as she licked her lips, his blood had been a tad too sweet for her likes.
"You sure like sugar." she muttered as Hall stared blankly at her.
"That's all?" he said as he rubbed the wounded area.
"What?" asked Emily, all too surprised by his reaction.
"Is that all?" asked Hall. "For a vampire, you sure suck; you appear out of nowhere without even building a suspense, and then bite me there and then, you don't even give the chance for the victim to feel afraid or even surprised."
Emily blinked a couple of times in surprise, this had been the first time a victim complained about her methods instead of being bitten.
"And for the love of god, a goth loli?" Hall complained. "C'mon, couldn't you have picked something more original for a vampire?" he paused for a second as his head spun for a moment. "And I guess that being bitten will change me somehow." he snickered. "Your servant perhaps?"
Emily almost gawked at the man went silent, staring at his own changes; Emily knew the procedure all too well, until the changes ended, the victim would be entirely unable to move or talk, but it still proved to be amusing every time she saw a male changing, it was somewhat entertaining.
The first change was that Hall's short black hair lengthened at amazing speed, reaching a length that would easily reach his hips; then his face began to change, his eyes becoming deep black as his features smoothed out, his jaw line melting into a softer one, his beard vanishing as the only body hair that remained was his hair, now thin eyebrows and growing eyelashes; his lips plumped as his neck began to become thin and almost fragile, making his head become entirely that of a fully mature woman, all traces of acne completely erased as well.
The changes continued downwards as his frame was reduced, his shoulders becoming less broad by the second as his arms slimmed and gained a delicate and feminine appearance; his chest began to swell and breasts formed as they ballooned outwards, stretching the fabric of the shirt to near breaking points.
His waist slimmed as the fat of his belly redistributed all around his body, adding extra weight to the breasts and giving a feminine contour to his entire body, including a nicely shaped and plump ass.
The hips became broad with a snap, and Emily was sure his gender became that of a female as his pants became tight around her waist, her legs becoming longer in proportion to the body as her entire form took the sensual curves in ways that any woman would envy.
Once the transformation was done, the new woman panted for air as she remained on the chair, looking down at her own body with coldness rather than surprise.
"You sure blew it." she said, her soft melodious voice almost a soft purr. "You couldn't have turned me into something else?" she stood up, seemingly somewhat mad. "I mean, yeah, being bitten by a vampire and turned into a woman is not that common, but for Pete's sake, how many times has the male to female transgender ended with a supermodel body?" she cupped her breasts from underneath and raised them a bit. "Big breasts?, that's the best you can come up with?" she laughed. "I've seen newbs write more original stories involving a gender change."
Once more, Emily was left all too stunned to react, never in her nearly three hundred years of life had she encountered someone that reacted that way; most of the times it was either denial and rage, or even arousal and confusion, but never a critic.
"So it seems you came to recruit a new member?" both girls turned around to see a tall man standing next to the window, he had a long black cape and a black suit, his glimmering golden eyes shinned in the darkness as his hair was of such a deep black that was darker than shadows.
Emily saw two other figures behind that of count Draculo, creatures that were halfway between human and beast, with bat like wings behind them, dark brown fur, the head of a bat with long broad ears and short muzzle, razor sharp claws and even a small tail.
"Who're you?" asked Hall as she stared at the man and the two beasts behind him. "Count Dracula?"
"Draculo in fact." softly corrected the man. "It's just a guess, but has this foul lady turned you into what you are now?"
"You sure are bright." remarked Hall with irony. "What's next?, you'll say you can turn me back if I serve you instead of her?"
"That is exactly what I was thinking." he said. "You are extremely smart, my fine lady." he added as he approached Hall and kneeled as he kissed her hand. "Now if you'll allow me..." without letting Hall react, he pulled her into a deep kiss; the woman struggled for a couple of seconds, but soon went limp as the vampire took her on his arms to then turn to Emily. "If you excuse me, I'll take this woman as my new servant." as he said this, the two beasts behind him leaped to grab Emily by the arms, making it impossible for her to even move. "Since our laws don't allow me to kill you, I'll have to ask you remain here for a while."
"No, don't, don't take her." Emily said with a monotone, trying to hold back from chuckling. "You can't she's too valuable for you to take her."
"Victory is mine once again!" the man said as he placed a foot on the open windowsill, to then vanish in a puff of smoke.
"You can let go of me now." Emily stated as she stared at the two beasts, she could have freed herself easily, though chose not to put a fight. "I'll be heading back to my place."
Emily smiled as the two beasts let her go and vanished into a swarm of small black bats; vanishing from view instants after.
Not more than ten seconds after, a black cat appeared on the windowsill, it hurried to look around and then went into the room as it bowed it's head.
"I am terribly sorry." it said. "We couldn't stop him from stealing your new servant." it stood up and began to stand up. "I shall give pursue..."
"No need." Emily interrupted him. "He can keep that one."
"Excuse me?" asked the cat. "Is milady sure?"
"Yep." Emily smiled and nodded, feeling all too good with herself at the moment. "Let's go look for a cute new servant."
"Are you sure about this?" asked the cat. "Draculo could attempt stealing them once again."
"I highly doubt it." Emily chuckled. "Once his new acquirement wakes up, I'm certain he'll have his hands full for quite some time."
She laughed at the cat's confused gaze as she went out into the open night air, all too sure that what Draculo had just stolen was a curse disguised as a blessing.
Leaping into the air and taking flight under the moonlight, Emily felt a small jolt of joy within her, fully aware that she would not be disturbed within the following two or three months; the throne was now as good as hers.
