I had a rant here about how I hate characters like Felicia, but I couldn't articulate their differences from ordinary villains well enough to make a coherent argument against them. They're clearly different, but I can't describe it.

On second thought, I'll post the rant. Maybe you can help me figure out what I'm trying to say or explain why you use the archetype.

I'm really sick of all-powerful megalomaniacs who exist solely to toy with and torment other characters. They make no sense, and they aren't very interesting. Their only purpose seems to be to let authors do whatever they want to characters who aren't all-powerful without having to come up with a reason that makes sense; it's just the whim of the local god, so it happens. Does anyone agree with me? It's hard to tell.
