"Ah man..." sighed the eighteen year old boy as he looked out the window, the day had started sunny and clear, but all of a sudden, it was pouring; and he had forgotten his umbrella.

His class ended faster than he had expected, and before the clouds could even clear up.

Lucky for Allan, he had brought his car.

Unluckily, it was parked at the other side of the park that was in front of his university, so he'd have to make a run for the vehicle.

Tucking his notes under his shirt, he opened the doors to the outside, and began to sprint while attempting to cover his head with his sleeveless jacket; praying that he didn't slip or get his notes so wet they'd become useless.

Yet as he was crossing between the trees and through the puddle filled road, he avoided seeing a lump and tripped, falling face forward to a small pool of muddied water.

"Damn!" he cursed as he tried to stand up, noticing his notes were no longer readable.

As he stood up, all drenched and unable to get any wetter, he turned to look at what he had tripped with.

His eyes widened as he saw a woman laying there, but a quick glance made him notice the large cuts on her torso and the blood in the ground around her.

Going for his mobile phone, he cursed his luck as it no longer worked.

"Shit!" he said, trying to see if she was even alive.

Touching the side of her neck proved she still was breathing, and her heart was beating; but both seemed irregular and faint.

Thinking fast, he picked her body as carefully as he could, and took her towards his car; where he laid her on the back seats.

As he did this, he realized two other things.

The first was that her wounds had suddenly stopped bleeding.

The second was that she had a strange bulge in the back side of her pants; which soon was revealed to be a tail as the handling of her body.

Unable to digest this, Alan goes straight for the drivers seat and starts the car, mentally trying to remember where was the nearest hospital.

"...not hospital..." a faint voice came from the back seat, and Alan quickly turned his head to see the woman half conscious for an instant, then fall back asleep.

Alan hesitated for a moment, it was already hard to believe any of this was going on, even less think it would be wise to not take her to a hospital.

He stopped the car for a moment as he turned around to have a better grasp of the seriousness of her wounds.

Which were no longer there.

Alan had to take a look several times; the ragged shirt and pants were the same, the strange tail and long hair were as when he had first seen her, and her skin as pale as it was before; yet all the cuts and bruises that had been oozing blood no more than fifteen minutes ago, were no more, not even a scar was left behind.

"The hell?" he managed to mutter in his state of amazement.

Unable to believe his own eyes, or even be sure if this was some sort of delusion he was having, he drove all the way back to his house.

Alan parked the car and for a very long minute, stared at the woman that laid on the back seats; aside from the tail and odd regenerative abilities, he was certain there was something weird about her.

Being unable to do or think of anything else, Alan took her into his small flat and placed her on his bed.

Having this much time while carrying her, made him have a better view of her figure.

First of all, the tail, even when real and attached to her... posterior, was not the only strange feature about her, she also had something that he learnt to be animal-like ears where her human ones should be; which reacted to sound and twitched accordingly.

She was most likely around her early twenties, Alan would have even bet on her being eighteen; her hair was a couple inches past shoulder length, and of a deep red, as intense as the fur of her strange ears and tail.

Aside from the fact that it was still somewhat wet, her skin was very warm and smooth, something that came into Alan's mind several times as he brought her on a piggy back up to his apartment.

Once she was in his bed, Alan attempted drying her up, without having to take off what little was left of her clothes, but it proved to be somewhat tricky, as, in the end, he was forced to take off her shirt and wrap her up in a towel, in which time he had more than enough of a view to her round and somewhat generous bosom.

Though he didn't dare to do anything more with her pants, for they were already in a miserable state.

Before leaving her to sleep, Alan made sure once more she didn't have any wounds left; and felt amazed once more as the only scar he found was on her back, but it seemed somewhat old.

Aside from that, there wasn't anything as much as a scratch on her.

For several long hours, Alan remained in his flat's kitchen, thinking about what had just happened, and even if to believe what was going on while slowly eating a re-heated burger.

"I've gotta stop drinking so much coffee." he sighed, the impossibility of the situation almost making him laugh. "Makes me hallucinate." he chuckled for a bit, the image of the woman's ears and tail still vivid in his mind. "A cat-girl out of all things..."

"Fox, not cat." the soft groaning voice almost made Alan snap his own neck as he turned to look at the woman, who now stood at the door of the kitchen, wrapped up on the sheets of his bed.

<Great.> Alan thought to himself as he tensed up. <She's closer to my gun than me.> he added as he pinned his sight on the drawer next to her.

As if she had just been told about the existence of a bomb, the woman snapped and drew open the drawer where Alan had placed his sight upon; yet the only thing she found there was plastic silverware and a couple of unused chock-sticks.

"I suspected at first, but this only proves you can hear my thoughts." Alan commented with a broad grin. "The nearest thing I've got to a weapon here is the kitchen knife."

"How...?" she turned back, seemingly astonished.

"You asked me not to go to the hospital the very moment the thought crossed my mind." Alan answered. "Since it seems that my former way of thinking would be obsolete, I took the *All is possible* option and tried to figure out what to do now." he stood up as he continued to stared at the woman, even though she was entirely covered in sheets, her face was nothing short from exotic as it was beautiful. "Though I should say it's still very shocking to meet someone who has telepathy." he stretched a friendly hand as he put on a small grin. "My name's Alan by the way."

"Why did you take me with you?" the woman stared at him with intense emerald eyes, there wasn't even the slightest hint of trust behind her glare.

"Well, I'd say it's because I'm very greedy, and very curious." Alan smiled. "At first I'd have brought you to the hospital, but your complain, plus tail, plus ears and strange regenerative abilities convinced me otherwise." he continued to stare at her, as if she were some sort of puzzle he had to solve. "It might be true I've read plenty of stories where such things are more than possible, but never have I even played with the thought of it being real." he smiled again. "So what is your name?, fox girl who made me loose my math notes."

"It's not Fox-girl you dimwit, it's Kitsune." she snapped. "And my name's Hime."

"I see..." Alan closed his eyes for a moment, to then go back at staring at her. "Well, I'm pretty sure you're not someone to talk about your situation, so I won't ask for the time being." he yawned a bit as he sat back on the chair. "However, if you wish to stay here, we'll have to get to some sort of agreement." he scratched his head for a second. "Though I believe you should rest for the time being."

"Just who are you?" Hime said as she stared at him. "Not only would any other human being start freaking out the moment they see my tail and ears, but proposing me to stay?" she stared at him for a moment. "Either you're missing a couple 'o bolts in your head, or you've gone and fallen head over heels for me." she paused for a second. "Case in which you'd also be missing a couple bolts in that head of yours."

"Well, I've never been called sane if that's what you're asking." Alan laughed in response. "Besides, my curiosity far beats my desire to freak out." he stared at her with a quizzical grin. "Don't take it the wrong way, but this feels like the chance of a lifetime."

"Fine, I get it." she turned around as she head back to the corridor. "We'll talk tomorrow."

"You can use my bed till then." Alan commented as she left.

"I wasn't going to ask." Hime answered as the sound of the room door closing reached Alan's ears.

Alan's face continued to smile for a while just before he stood up and went towards his study room and turned on his computer.

"Time for some research." he muttered to himself as he opened google and began surfing the web in search for information.

He continued doing this until it was around eight in the evening; time by which he prepared himself a small salad and went to sleep on the sofa.

Waking up the next morning resulted in Alan getting several consecutive surprises.

The first of which was waking up as he found himself with none other than Hime sitting on his chest, devilishly smiling down at him as she held a plate with what he guessed to be food.

"About time you woke up." she stated. "I was worrying I'd have to eat breakfast alone."

"You prepared breakfast?" Alan asked in amazement as the woman came off his chest. "I was expecting you keep on sleeping till supper or something like that."

"The Kitsune of my clan like to eat the early birds." she sat on the coffee table as she stared at Alan stretch and yawn. "Plus, because of the nature of our essence, we have to keep things balanced; so we've gotta give something of the same value of what we've received."

"So I saved your life and now your life belongs to me?" Alan asked, though was stomped on the foot the moment the words left his mouth.

"Nope." Hime's smile seemed to hide a hint of evil. "Lucky for me, even if you hadn't taken me with you, I'd still have lived." she poked him on the forehead as she placed the plate with food on the table. "Right now I've gotta pay for you letting me stay the night and the food I ate."

"So you took food that belonged to me, ate some of it, and prepared the rest?" Alan commented with a smile just as devilish as he took a bite of the fried bacon on the plate.

"Don't push your luck." Hime stood up as she began to walk towards the kitchen. "I don't plan to stay here more than what I need."

"Which would be...?"

"Till nightfall." she snapped. "Any more and you'll regret having met me."

"So you're being chased by something or someone who's stronger at night." Alan sighed as he took another bite at the bacon. "Also, it seems that you're not strong enough to defeat them or keep them at bay."

"It's because I am that I should leave." her eyes narrowed. "You'd become a burden on my conscience if they killed you."

"Do you have anywhere else to go?" Alan's words hit home, and for a fraction of a second, her face changed to one that reflected nothing more than a deep sadness, despair even. "I think I said this earlier, but you can stay as long as you want to."

"Are you deaf or something?" she glared at Alan. "You're too weak, you'll get killed the very instant they..."

"I'm not certain if this is plausible, but what about a contract?" Alan suggested.

"So you did some research." Hime sighed as she sat once more on the coffee table. "Well, let me put it bluntly, even if I did agree to form a contract with you, the chances of you surviving it aren't that high." she pointed a finger at him. "And in case you do survive, you'd get involved in things far too troublesome, most likely you'd get killed within a couple of weeks."

"And if you don't, I'll be dead by tomorrow." Alan responded as he finished the contents of his plate. "If they're as ravage as you claim they are, they'll most likely finish me off for lending you a hand."

"No, if you're not a threat, they won't touch you." she stated, looking at the floor for a moment as she seemed somewhat gloomy.

"Interesting." Alan grinned even more. "So you were from the good guys, did something... I'm guessing you were used as a scapegoat of sorts, and then got yourself a big fat reward on your head along the way, correct?"

"Listen, boy." snarled Hime, her eyes becoming golden just as her mouth stretched out into a muzzle, her head becoming that of a fox; only with really sharp fangs as she snarled. "If you insist any more, I'll eat you."

"I bet you will." he chuckled, flicking his finger on her snout, making her flinch, her head returning to how it was. "You're not gonna scare me so easily."

"I'm a monster." she stated, almost a growl escaped her mouth. "You'll die if you stick with me too long."

"It's not as if I'll live forever if I don't." he replied. "Plus, the only monster I believe in is the one under my bed." he chuckled for a bit. "Either way, I'd follow you if you left." he placed his index on her nose. "Besides, with you I'm certainly not going to get bored."

"I just don't know what's going through your head." she sighed, a short smile appearing. "But if you wanna have me as your familiar, you've gotta pay with something of an equivalent value." she came closer, sitting on his lap as her hands were lightly holding his shoulders. "Should I take your eyes?, or how about half your lifespan?" she whispered on his ear. "Perhaps your memories would suffice."

"How about you take this?" asked Alan, showing her a small blue gem, the size and shape of a pearl. "I believe it'll prove to be more than enough."

"It's equivalent." she sighed, snatching the pearl and swallowing it before any more could be said. "But you'll have to tell me one of these days how you got your hands onto something like this."

"It'll be the day you tell me why you're being chased." Alan replied with a grin.
... no real comments here, I'm certain I could've done it better, but don't worry, I'll be posting something way cooler within a couple of minutes.

Most likely, this one wont make it to series, I feel the plot's kinda empty, and the characters needs some work on their background and personality, they seem to volatile
