I swallowed hard as the creature came closer.
"Don't run." Flora warned with a whisper. "And whatever you do, don't try to harm it."
The running part did sound tempting, though making that monster angry was the last thing that would've crossed my mind.
Flora immediately went to her knees, and bowed her head as low as she could, mumbling something under her breath as the beast came to a halt, no more than a couple dozen feet from us.
For an instant I wondered why the people revered the creature as if it were a god, I was certain that, had the villagers tried, they'd be able to hunt it down despite its large form.
Looking down at the ruined food, the creature then looked back at us, I got the feeling it was angrier than before.
"I am terribly sorry, mountain god..." Flora began to say, it was almost a whimper.
The monster barely stomped on the ground once, and the with just that, the earth began to shake violently, a cloud of dust rising into the air as the explosion hit me square on the chest, making me fall on my back.
When it settled, there was a two foot deep crater, and almost twelve wide; -That's why- I thought to myself, seeing the answer to my former question with trembling hands.
The tiger began to slowly continue its way towards us, snarling at Flora and glaring at me.
Without any sort of warning, it suddenly leaped towards Flora claws ready for the kill as it tilted its head slightly, for the fangs to sink into the flesh of the neck more easily.
I reacted without thinking, moving at a speed I'd have never thought possible, I pushed Flora aside, and moved back barely enough for the tiger to miss my head, and instead bite down on my right arm.
Everyone froze as the tiger seemed as surprised as Flora, I on the other hand felt extremely pissed for a reason I didn't quite grasp.
"Now look here you overfed cat." I snarled, the fangs of the tiger were still inside my arm, but it had stopped trying to chomp it off. "I don't give a squat how many people call you mountain god and pamper you to your hearts content, but you have no right to become angry just because your food got some dirt on it." I continued glaring down at the beast, the pain didn't seem to have reached my mind just yet. "So you're going to eat that food and you'll appreciate it." I continued. "Got it?"
Had I not been the one to speak those words, I'd have been shocked to see whoever had been the idiot that was crazy enough to do it.
For what seemed to be a very long second, the tiger looked at me, and I looked back, no one moved, no one spoke, no one even made a sound.
Then, it released its grip around my arm, and its wrathful expression had suddenly changed to and embarrassed one; it licked my arm a couple of times until the blood stopped oozing, and turned around slowly, coming to a halt where the food was.
It ate it all, and without another sound, went back into the forest.
After it had vanished from sight, I collapsed.
My body was shaking violently, and I'm pretty sure I had almost wet my pants.
"Are you ok?" Flora reacted the very instant I had fallen.
"Been better." I managed to stutter, not able to stop the cold sweat from running. "That's the largest cat I've seen in my life."
"This is the first time the mountain god has acted like that." Flora stated as she checked my arm. "There have been several people who's stood up to her, but..." she paused for a moment, looking to a side, as if pained. "Thank you."
"Thank you for what?" I wondered.
"You saved my life." she mumbled, her grip around my arm tightened for a moment.
"Consider it repayment for the help." I shrugged off, somehow feeling awkward. "How deep are those cuts?"
"Seems the mountain god chose to heal them." she relaxed a bit. "I doubt they'll even scar."
I looked at my arm, just as she had said, the wounds had vanished almost entirely, the only thing left were red marks where the deep cuts should be.
"This place gets better and better." I whispered to myself as I realized just how strange and new this world was to me, most of it didn't even make sense.
"Flora!" I heard shouts, both of us turned to see several people running up the hill. "Are you ok?"
I noticed the man shouting was in his late forties, with short gray hair and a rather muscular form; and just like Flora, he had animal ears and tail, though they were those of a wolf.
"What happened?" he asked, I noticed there were other people besides him. "We heard the roar, where's the mountain god?"
Flora explained what had occurred, and much to my amazement, the reaction of the villagers were somewhat varied; out of the ten that had come, four were perplexed, three were skeptic (the wolf guy included), two seemed curious, and the last one just kept staring at me, though I had the feeling he was mad for some reason.
From that point forth, it all became a bit too rushed.
I was almost dragged to the village, where I was introduced to most of its inhabitants, and even the elder (an old hag with raccoon ears and tail that was as short as she was old); to then get praised (and somehow blessed) by the old witch.
After introductions, the villagers continued to make some sort of small celebration for my success in surviving, and saving Flora's life (I got the strange feeling that the whole town was like her family).
I'm not sure how long the party would have lasted, however, around midday, I suddenly began to feel feverish and collapsed as I had begun to enjoy the poorly played music.
Then everything became somewhat blurry, I can remember the startled faces and whispers, and worried voices; I also remember being taken back to Flora's cottage and being placed back on the bed, but I'm not sure what happened after that.
The fever was so bad my whole body shivered wildly for several hours, and the aches were even worse, it almost felt as if I had broken all my bones or something like that, but I eventually managed to fall asleep.
-------------------------------------
I woke up at the sensation of something soft and warm bruising against my side.
Barely awake, I realized it was still dark, the light of the moon came through the open window.
The bed sheets moved, and I turned to look at the source.
With no time to react, my head was grabbed from both sides as someone mounted me, to immediately after come down and lay a hot wet kiss on my lips, the only thing I managed to see about her were her deep red eyes.
Her frame was light, her skin soft and smooth, her hair long and silky, her hands small yet strong; and despite the shock of being kissed, the only thing that came to my mind was how good she smelt, like wild roses along with something herbal.
"About time you woke up." she whispered in my ear, I realized it wasn't Flora.
"Who are you?" I asked, too tired to move, and too dark to see her face.
Instead of answering me, she placed her finger on my lips and shushed. She lay down on top of me, her naked body rubbing against my bandaged one; her soft, tender breasts pressing against my chest as her heartbeat and my own began to slow down and melt with one another.
"You are the first one." she whispered in my ear, her arms tightly around my neck. "No one has ever made me feel like that before." she continued. "What is your name?"
"Gabriel." I answered as she continued to slowly caress my body.
"I am Jasmine." she replied, gently placing my head between her breasts. "Sleep now, you'll need the energy."
I'm not sure how much time passed by, but I felt tiredness taking over me again, and I soon dozed off, the warmth of her touch and the sound of her heartbeat enveloping me like a gentle mantle.
------------------------------------
Next morning I woke up at the sound of a scream.
I scrambled to my feet as fast as I could the very moment I had felt movement around me.
Then, I came to a halt when I saw what was going on.
On a corner, covered entirely with sheets, there was someone hiding; near one of the doors of the room, was Flora, her face wide in shock along with a bit of anger.
"What's going on?" I asked, seeing her stare at me with a somewhat startled expression.
"She... you..." she was mumbling.
Turning to the bundle of sheets, I headed towards the corner, though the one under the sheets tensed up once I got close.
"Please, don't." said the one hiding, my mind remembered the voice, but I was still feeling somewhat groggy to be able to recognize it entirely. "I don't want you to see me like this."
"Why not?" I asked, gently grabbing the sheets, my brain was kicking in, I started to remember what had happened last night.
"I might be ugly." she stated; -Might?- I thought to myself as I heard her say it. "If I am, I don't want you to see me like this."
"I'm sure you're not ugly." I gently muttered, pulling away the sheets.
"Really?" she turned, and stared at me with her deep red eyes.
Somehow, I ended up blushing when I saw her face, she seemed to be around my age, perhaps a year older; her skin was deep honey color, her eyes a ruby red, and her hair a snow white; but despite the odd combination, she was clearly prettier than most girls I had seen before.
"Yay!" she suddenly threw herself at me, letting go of the sheets and forcing me to fall on my back; the sensation of her naked body, and soft squishy breasts against my chest made me finish remembering the details from last night.
"Um... Jasmine..." I said, trying to keep as calm as I could while the girl hugged me tightly. "I think it'd be best if you put on some clothes."
"Why?" she asked, looking me in the eye with curiosity. "I don't feel cold, and I've spent all my life without clothes." one of her hands went to my head, and she scuffled my hair a bit, a devilish smile came to her face. "But if you want me to..."
Jasmine stood up, and stared at Flora, not embarrassed one bit for revealing every curve of her mature body, her nice round ass was somewhat covered by a stripped snow white tail. "Would you mind lending me some of your clothes?"
Without another word, she went through the door Flora had came through.
"Who...?" Flora began to ask, all to stunned to even move; but as she looked at me, she paused. "You are Gabriel, right?"
"What do you mean?" I wondered out loud as I stood up again. "Of course I'm Gabriel." I shook my head. "Why would you ask that?"
"Well, last time I saw you, you didn't have a tail." she said, pointing at my back. "And I'm pretty sure your hair was different." she added, pointing at my head.
Tail?, hair?
I turned my head, and much to my shock, I saw a white tail with black stripes.
Not believing this was real, I tugged it, and sure enough, the tug was felt through my very spine, plus it hurt a bit.
"Do you have a mirror?" I asked, Flora pointed at the small table near a window.
I hurriedly went there, and took the hand mirror to look at myself in it.
Even when the mirror wasn't as accurate as those I was accustomed to, I could clearly see the differences.
My hair was a perfect white, much like Jasmine's, and my eyes, instead of the dark brown I used to have, now were a deep gold; but what startled me the most was that I now had an extra pair of ears on top of my head, much like those I had seen on Jasmine, triangular and stripped.
"What the hell!?" I jumped, unable to believe what my eyes were seeing.
"Do you like it?" I turned to look at Jasmine, who was wearing some sort of poncho. "Since I can't have a hubby that's not part of my clan, I thought it would be best to turn you." she leaped at me, and with an inhuman speed, attached herself to my arm. "I must say, you look much better now."
"Hubby?" I stuttered. "Part of your clan?" I continued. "Why in the world would you...?"
"Yesterday you were so forceful." she purred, rubbing against my arm with a hidden blush on her cheeks. "It gave me chills to the very tip of my tail." she continued, snuggling against me. "You could say it was love at first sight."
"Wait, yesterday?" both me and Flora looked at one another.
Seemingly on cue, our brains proceeded the information in one go.
-Yesterday I was forceful with the mountain god -> the mountain god has white fur with black stripes -> Jasmine has a tail and ears with white fur with black stripes -> she claims I was forceful with her yesterday -> !!!!????
"Mountain god!?" jumped Flora, while I stated in shock, unable to jump cause I was being held down by Jasmine.
"What, you realize that just now?" she sighed as she shook her head. "True, I've never taken this form before, but still..." she snuggled against me a bit more. "...I'm glad you think I'm pretty, it took me a while to shape myself like this."
"Wait a minute." I said, pushing her back a bit. "I didn't agree to any of this."
"And you didn't enjoy last night?" she coed with a smile.
"I fell asleep as soon as you told me your name." I snapped back. "Nothing happened."
"So you're from that world." she suddenly stated with a sigh.
"That world?" I repeated, it suddenly hit me; I grabbed Jasmine by her shoulders, barely taking into account her small frame. "Do you know anything about how I ended up here?"
"I might know, and I might not know." she teased as she came closer again. "However, I do know a way of going back." she paused, purring with delight. "Though I won't tell you."
"What do you mean you won't tell me!?" I said, getting a bit more angry with every passing second.
"Well, I'll take you back to your world." she whispered. "But on one condition." she pulled me down and planted a kiss on my lips before I could say anything. "Let me be yours."
I didn't answer, rather, I couldn't; what sort of person would I have to be to agree to those terms?
I just watched her in awe, wondering why she'd go that far, what had made her want that condition, or if this was just a way for her to play with me.
"You're cuter than what I had hoped for." she suddenly giggled, making me feel that much more confused; she turned towards Flora. "Was he wearing any jewelery when you found him?"
"Jewelery?" Flora said, somewhat surprised by the change in subject. "Well, he did have an amulet and a ring..." she turned around, and began to search between the drawers of one of the pieces of furniture; after a minute or so, she took both of them out. "This was all he was wearing aside from his clothes."
"Good." Jasmine said, snatching both of them from her hand, and placing the amulet around my neck. "Any last words before we go back?"
"We?" I said.
"Thought so." she said.
She put on the silver wring on her left hand, and with a slow gesture, touched the amulet with it.
That very instant, the world ceased to stand still, curves became straight, and lines became curves, the air distorted as colors changed as if on a will of their own, the floor gave in, and we both fell into a swirl of senses as we plunged into an infinite abyss.
And as quickly as it started, it finished.
The lines came back and sense was applied to the chaos.
We both fell on our asses as we landed on what I immediately recognized as the corridor that lead to the attic.
"Sound familiar?" Jasmine wondered out loud as she sniffed the air, looking around for a moment. "Cause I'm sure I've never been here before."
"It's my grandpa's place." I mumbled as I slowly stood up.
"And just when I thought I was done with that world." I jumped and turned around, to find none other than my grandfather, standing behind me. "How the hell will I explain to your mom you've got a tail now?"
"You knew about the amulet?" I mumbled.
"Of course I knew you dimwit." he snapped. "Your mother will kill me if she finds out you went to that world." he paused for a second as he stared at Jasmine. "No, I think your father would try to kill me too, but he's too much of a wuss to do that."
"And why don't we just send her back and pretend nothing happened?" I suggested.
"Oh yeah, and while we're at it, let me chop your ears and tail off." the old man glared at me. "Either way, the amulet doesn't work that way." he paused. "It needs about a month to charge enough for just one trip." he stared at Jasmine. "And it takes four times that energy to transport two people at the same time."
"Then how was I able to come back with just three days at that world?" I asked. "Plus Jasmine."
"It's been in that attic without being used for almost ten years." he then pointed at the amulet. "But it only has room for a maximum of five trips, so you just emptied it." he replied with a sigh. "Either way, even if we manage to take her back and return your appearance to normal, your mother would still notice." he tapped me in the head a couple of times. "Your magic is already being unleashed."
"Wait, what do you...?" I began to ask.
"Ok, it's settled." he suddenly blurted out. "To avoid getting me killed, you..." he pointed at Jasmine. "...will train my good-for-nothing grandson in how to control his magic." he paused for a moment. "And once the pendant's charged enough energy, I'll send you back to your world."
"What about these?" I asked, pointing at the cat-ears above my head.
"I'll also teach you how to hide those." Jasmine smiled broadly, to then turn to grandpa. "And I agree to your terms." she added. "In exchange, you'll let Gabriel decide whether or not I leave once the amulet has charged."
I didn't realize what she meant until latter on.
Even when I was back in my world, things seemed to be turning more and more complicated.
And when you mean similar are you saying plot-wise? or something like TF stories that're similar?
does he learn to control his magic?, mow long does it take? , does he keep her or send her away?, does he date her? , do they get married? , is there another love interest? do they get married? do they have kids?
wow quite a formatable list, eh?
And yes, there's a lot of "?" in this one.
One of which would be *Does he go to the other world again?* an idea I'd play with once I turn it into a series.
hah, all good store ideas *wink*
